A (Tu B'shvat) Nature Pop-Up @ Yerba Buena Gardens / San Francisco, CA

Celebrate Tu B’shvat, referred to as the birthday for the trees, with a multi-faceted mindfulness experience to deepen our connection to nature and a live earth art installation with artist Day Schildkret.

Come witness Day build a large-scale and live earth art installation, put down your prayers for the environment and nature, participate in a Q&A with Day and then help him deconstruct the entire art piece and spread the prayers, akin to a Tibetan sand mandala.

Schedule
8:00 am – Be A Witness – The altar begins to take shape

10:00 am – Take a Pause – Introduction to Morning Altars and communal Land Acknowledgement

12:00 pm – Create & Connect – Community art led by artist Day Schildkret

3:00 pm – Expand Your Curiosity – Conversation and questions with the artist

3:45 pm – Leave No Trace – Dismantling and dispersal of the altar as a community


*This pop-up is inspired by Tu B’shvat, a holiday growing in significance, which marks the “New Year of the Trees” and invites to deepen our commitments to embodied spirituality and environmental stewardship.
